Elesa is a mobile app that uses AI to help couples communicate better. There's a shared chat where both of you talk together with the AI as a neutral mediator, a private chat for each partner alone, and a small library of articles on relationships and communication.
It's designed to feel like a calm, intelligent presence — not a clinical tool, and not a chatbot trying to keep you scrolling.
No. Elesa is a coaching and communication tool. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or provide any kind of medical or mental health care, and it isn't a substitute for working with a licensed therapist or counselor.
If you're already in therapy, Elesa is meant to complement that work — not replace it. If you've been thinking about therapy, please pursue it.
Couples in any kind of committed relationship who want to communicate better. That includes people who feel stuck in the same arguments, people preparing for big conversations, people who just want to be more intentional, and people who want a tool to use between therapy sessions.
You can also use Elesa as an individual to reflect on your own relationship dynamics — though the magic really happens when both partners are using it together.
That's okay. Many users start with Individual Chat — using Elesa to think through their own feelings, prepare for conversations, or process what's happening in their relationship. Sometimes that alone changes how the relationship feels.
If you eventually want them to join, we've designed the invitation to feel low-pressure and easy.
Both you and your partner join from your own phones. You both see all the messages in the shared conversation. Elesa joins as a third voice — chiming in when it can help, staying out of the way when you're flowing.
It's designed for slow, intentional conversations. Use it for the harder topics that don't go well in the moment.
Inside Group Chat, Private Mode lets you send a message that only the AI can see — your partner doesn't see it directly. The AI can use that context to guide the conversation more thoughtfully without quoting or revealing what you said.
Important caveat: AI is probabilistic, so we can't guarantee the AI's responses won't ever indirectly hint at what you shared. Don't use Private Mode for things you'd be devastated for your partner to suspect.
Yes. The memory and context of your Individual Chat is kept entirely separate from your Group Chat. Nothing you say in your private one-on-one with Elesa flows into the conversation you have with your partner.
Elesa is currently available on iPhone via the Apple App Store. We're planning to expand to other platforms in the future.
Your conversations are stored securely and used to provide the service. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your messages to train AI models. Your messages are processed through OpenAI's API to generate responses, but OpenAI doesn't use API data for training and only retains it for a short period for abuse monitoring.
For the full picture, please read our Privacy Policy.
Messages in Group Chat are visible to your partner. Messages in Individual Chat are visible only to you and the AI. Messages in Private Mode (inside Group Chat) are visible only to you and the AI, though the AI may use that context in its responses.
Habitual Labs employees may access data when necessary for support, debugging, or safety reasons — handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
Yes. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing support@elesa.app. Note that for shared Group Chat data, deletion may be handled differently to respect your partner's access — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Note: deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
